What made you decide to get your CSEP?
I wanted to showcase my commitment to the profession, positioning me as an expert in the field.
What have you been able to achieve since obtaining your CSEP?
Last summer, I was offered a job at Northern Alberta Institute of Technology as their Portfolio Lead for Corporate Events. I recently took additional role as one of the instructors, teaching Event Management Certificate!
What is the one most powerful part of having your CSEP?
Having a CSEP designation is a statement of commitment to our events profession. For me personally, being CSEP showcases my experience, knowledge, and professionalisms.
What advice would you give to someone considering CSEP?
Do it! We need to show the public we are more than just “party planners”! We are professionals with designations who know what we are doing.

Fun! It’s a really fun experience, you don’t even feel like you are “studying”.

I really like her hands-on approach. We learned through real life scenarios, using our experience to collectively come with creative solutions.
