Diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) is at the core of who we are — an inclusive global community dedicated to personal and business development, and inspiring all professionals engaged in live events to elevate their contribution to the industry. Our commitment to these values is unwavering. These principles are a mission-critical piece of our culture. We know that having varied perspectives generates better ideas to solve complex problems and that without diversity, equity, and inclusion, it would be impossible for our industry to do its best work.
Our mission is to continue to expanding diversity in our organization by creating a culture of equity, embracing differences, and promoting diverse cultures. We provide an internationally inclusive safe space for our members and other event industry professionals regardless of age, gender, gender identity, ability, ethnicity, nationality, race, and/or sexual orientation.
- To create an organization where all are welcomed, represented, and accepted.
- To better understand the diversity of our membership and identify their needs by providing resources and educational opportunities needed to ensure DEI best practices.
- To create spaces for difficult conversations, hearing all voices, and providing leadership where it is needed in our governance, membership, operations, and programs, resulting in the delivery of culturally effective, respectful, and high-quality care to all.
- To align with other like-minded organizations to create change in the live events industry.

Understanding Our Membership Is Important to Us
To continually learn more about our members, ILEA collects demographic information from its membership voluntarily to better understand the overall characteristics of our association. This information is used to determine the diverse makeup of the organization's members and to measure and enhance the success of our diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts (DEI). Your participation enables us to share relevant, anonymized data with existing and potential sponsors and strategic partners, so we can serve our membership better and help ILEA continue to grow.
